Services and your assistant

Who this is for: couples who use unplan and want to know how the extra services around a date work, and how private they are.

Where it is in the app. Everything on this page is under the Us tab, in Concierge and more: Your concierge, Services, Connect your AI, Special dates and Romance quiz. The concierge also has a card on This week. Partner offers can depend on your city: if there are none in yours yet, the screen says so.

Besides the weekly plan, unplan can help with the things around a date: a sitter for Saturday, flowers for an anniversary, a car home, a cooking class. Two things make it different from a directory: every service is vetted, and it stays between you and unplan.

Perks for your night

Open Us, then Services. You see Perks for your night: offers from partners we have vetted in your own city, grouped as Time and care, Looking and feeling good, Getting there, Food and drink, Experiences, Occasions and gifts, Connection, Stays near home and Venues. Each offer has a Partner badge, a short description, the price and the partner’s terms. There is no ranking and no contact details, and an offer never makes a business rank higher.

A couple of offers also show on the reveal of your plan, under Perks for your night, with See all perks.

Tap Ask my concierge about this and choose Just me (private) or Shared with your partner. It adds a draft to your concierge list. Nothing is booked or paid until you open the draft and tap Confirm. See Your concierge.

Travel packages with Viator

Going away for a weekend, or spending an evening in another city? We put together date packages around an experience you book on Viator: a tasting, a cooking class, a cruise at sunset, a small-group walk, with the timing and the rest of the evening worked out around it. Viator covers all our launch cities and most places you might travel to. To get one, tell us the city, the dates and your budget through the help page. A package follows the same rules as a plan: chosen for fit, inside your budget, never a list to scroll. If you book through our links, Viator may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra and it never decides what we suggest.

How services are chosen

  • A person decides. Every business, whether we found it or it applied, goes through the same checks before it is listed: its documents (registration, insurance and any licence its trade needs), its reputation (reviews, references, complaints), a test booking by someone from our team, and a probation period with a limited number of bookings.
  • Some kinds get extra care. Childcare, rides, spa and massage need a lawyer’s view of the local rules before the first one is listed. Coaching and similar services are strictly vetted and must say clearly what they are and are not.
  • Nobody can pay for a better place. Partners are chosen for fit and quality. An offer is labelled as an offer from a partner. It never moves a business higher.
  • Problems pause a partner at once. A complaint pauses a business while we look into it, and an expired insurance or licence pauses its listing.
  • You can rate a service privately. After a service you booked through unplan, Us → Services shows How was it? with Rate it: pick one of five answers, from Loved it to Not good. A rating is yours: your partner doesn’t see it, and the business doesn’t see it with your name.

How it stays discreet

  • Nothing about you is sold or shared with advertisers, data brokers or the services themselves.
  • A service only gets what the booking needs: for example a time, a pickup address or a headcount, and only for that request. It reaches the service through unplan, so the service never gets your email address or phone number unless you choose to give it.
  • You find, request and pay inside unplan. There is no open marketplace to scroll.
  • Offers never use up your notifications. The limit of five a week stays; the assistant and offers share it.

Your assistant

Keep the Spark includes an assistant that learns what you both like and helps with dates, occasions and extras. You can ask it for a quick date, a surprise, an anniversary or a sitter. It suggests one or two options, never a list.

  • Nothing is booked or paid without you. It shows the business, the price and the cancellation terms first. You confirm; it can’t.
  • It doesn’t invent. The venues, businesses and prices it mentions come from our vetted records or a live answer from the business. Check the summary before you confirm.
  • It has a memory, and you can see it. You can read what it remembers, correct it and delete it. If you unpair or delete your account, its memory is deleted. It is included when you download your data.
  • Private lanes for surprises. Each of you has a private conversation with the assistant. If one of you plans a surprise, the other never sees it, in the app or in an email. What you both agreed to is in a shared space.
  • There is a monthly limit on requests. It is shown in the app and can change.

Using your own AI

If you pay for an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT, you can connect it to your unplan assistant so it runs on your own subscription and has a higher limit. You create the connection yourself in Us, Connect your AI, and can switch it off at any time by revoking its token. The steps are in Connect your own AI.

  • It can chat with your assistant, see your plans and add drafts to your list.
  • It cannot confirm, book or pay. Only you can: in the app, from an email we send to your account address, or from a one-time link. A link works once, expires quickly and only shows the summary until you press the confirm button.
  • It never reaches anyone else’s data or your partner’s private conversation.
