Getting set up

How do I add unplan to my home screen on iPhone?
  1. Open app.unplan.me in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow).
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
  4. Open unplan from the new icon on your home screen, not from Safari.
  5. Tap Turn on notifications on the Install screen and allow them.

You need iOS 16.4 or later.

How do I add unplan to my home screen on Android?
  1. Open app.unplan.me in Chrome.
  2. Tap Install when the banner appears, or open the ⋮ menu and tap Install app (on some phones it says Add to Home screen).
  3. Open unplan from the new icon and allow notifications when asked.
Why do notifications need the home-screen app?

On iPhone, Apple only delivers web notifications to apps added to the home screen, and only after you allow them with a tap. That’s why we ask you to install first. On Android, notifications also work in the browser, but the home-screen app is faster and opens straight to your plan.

The Thursday teaser always goes by email too, so you won’t miss it either way.

My partner's link doesn't open. What now?
  • Pairing links look like unplan.me/j/ followed by a short code. Check it came through in full.
  • If the link opened inside another app (Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger), tap Open in browser.
  • Links can be replaced. Ask your partner to send a fresh one from the Pair screen.
  • Signing in by email? Type the 6-digit code from the email, or tap its Sign in to unplan button. In the Home Screen app, type the code: the button opens your browser.

Your plan and your account

How do I change my city?

Your city follows your home base. Change it under Us → Shared guardrails → Home base. Both of you see the change. If the new home base is outside a city where unplan is open, you’ll join that city’s waitlist and we’ll email you when it opens.

How do I unpair?

Go to Us → Account → Unpair. Your partner is asked to confirm; if they don’t answer, the unpair completes after 7 days. After that neither of you gets plans as that couple. Your votes and ratings stay private. You can pair with someone new using a fresh link.

Can I get a refund?

If you paid for Set up this date and the plan can’t go ahead for a reason that isn’t yours (the first stop falls through with nothing to replace it, or we couldn’t build a premium plan that week), the $2.99 comes back automatically. Your own veto or a missed vote isn’t refunded. Keep the Spark can be cancelled any time from Us → Plan → Manage, and you keep it until the end of the period you’ve paid for. The details are in our refund terms. For anything else, email our help address.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Us → Account → Delete my account and data. Cancel any subscription first. Your account, votes and ratings are deleted within 30 days. See deleting your account for what happens to shared plans.
