What's on in San Francisco

San Francisco opens on the fourth Sunday in November. Until then this page is an invitation, and a promise about what will land here once the city is open.

What lands, and when #

One sealed plan, every Thursday at 6 PM local time, on both your phones. It carries a one-line mood, a rough idea of cost, and what to wear. It never carries the place.

You each vote blind. Two yeses and the plan opens: the stops in order, the times, the directions, the booking links where a booking is needed, and an invite sitting in both calendars.

One veto a week brings one alternative. A veto costs nothing and nobody has to explain it. There is no third card, which is the point: a veto is a redirect, not a rejection.

The setting, not the argument #

Most date-night negotiations in this city are really about distance and bridges. So we take those off the table up front. How far you are willing to travel on a weeknight, what you want to spend, which evenings are impossible: you answer once, together, and every plan after that lives inside the answers. Nothing arrives that one of you would have quietly ruled out.

Keep it for the two of you #

Anything you find on these pages can be saved, sent to your partner as a quick date, or dropped into your blind date pool: a private hint to the plan we seal for you each week. It is only ever a hint. Your partner never sees what you put there.

While San Francisco fills up #

The guide is still filling. Leave your email and we will send it once a week, when there is enough on worth telling you about. No daily pings, no urgency manufactured on a Tuesday.

Free to start #

unplan works in the browser, so there is no download and no app store detour. Thursday comes round either way, and once you are set up it arrives with a plan on it.

Start free, and the first sealed plan can be this week.
