About unplan

unplan is a date-night app for couples. Every Thursday at 6 PM, each couple gets a sealed plan: dinner, a place and a time. Each partner votes privately. When both say yes, the plan opens and the table is held.

The role

You run Dubai. That means the venues, the table holds, the quality of every plan, and the first couples. There are two ways to do it, and you can apply for either or both:

• Co-founder: you own Dubai and work directly with me and the other city co-founders on how unplan runs and what we build next
• City Host: you run Dubai day to day on commission, alongside the founders

What you'll do

• Build a pool of great Dubai venues and arrange table holds at the best of them
• Review each week's plans for local sense: opening hours, travel time, quality
• Fulfil the optional extras couples ask for, such as flowers, a car or a small gift
• Bring in the first couples through your own network
• Join the weekly founders' call

What you'll earn

• As a co-founder: equity in unplan, vesting over time and set out in a written agreement, and commission on what couples spend on unplan in Dubai while we launch
• As a City Host: commission on what couples spend on unplan in Dubai
• The equity and commission are negotiated with you, person to person
• This is commission-only. There is no salary and no guaranteed income, and we can't promise what you'll earn.

How it works

• Self-employed, working your own hours
• Couples ask for extras from the app and are never pushed. You won't be selling.
• Other cities will be run by commission-based City Hosts, who work alongside the founders
• A written agreement, reviewed by lawyers, before you start

Who we're looking for

• Hospitality, events or restaurant background, with venue relationships in Dubai
• Someone who wants a real stake early as a co-founder, or to run the city on commission as a City Host
• Organised, fast to reply, good with people
